January 2010
As was the case for many
service companies, 2009 was a consolidation year for Circle Group Services.
The recession meant that many projects were 'shelved' or
abandoned completely, with all the obvious knock-on effects. For Circle
Group Services however many of these effects constituted
opportunities. The retention of older mainframe systems that may have been
fated in other times, presented new requirements for us to maintain and
enhance those systems and applications in order to deliver 'business as
usual'. In some cases, the abandoned projects may not now be resurrected for
several years and Circle are proud to have given our clients the ability to
take more time in formulating I.T. strategy, safe in the knowledge that
their existing systems remain reliable, scalable and maintainable.
As in the past, Circle
enter 2010 with a determination to provide the very best in specialist
services to IBM mainframe users young & old and near & far.
January 2009
2008 was another
successful year for Circle Group Services and we would like to take this
opportunity to thank all our clients for their ongoing patronage.
Despite being around for
so many years and sometimes assuming that we know everyone there is to know
within our community, it is always pleasant to serve first-time customers
and provide them with the type of service that establishes Circle as the
preferred option for the future when it comes to dealing with IBM mainframe
systems and applications.
We were again pleased to
attend the IDUG Eorpoe & GSE UK Working Groups Conferences
in October and delighted to discover that far from being a dying breed, as
occasionally mooted by some, our community is thriving and as vibrant as
ever.
December 2006
Circle Computer Group has devolved its Consultancy,
Services and Support operations to Circle Group Services. Dave Dando,
formerly Divisional Director of Services at Circle Computer Group will
be taking on the role of Managing Director at Circle Group
Services.
Dave Dando welcomed the initiative, stating that "this
will allow the services side of the business to gain a higher profile in
the U.K. and Europe, while Circle Computer Group continues to expand its
successful database migration transparency products business worldwide".
As associates, Dave & Circle Computer Group MD Stephen
Mason will work closely together to ensure that the reputation for
reliable & efficient customer service, that Circle has built over many
years, will be maintained in every sector. Existing clients should remain
assured therefore that Stephen, Dave and their respective teams will
continue to be available as required to discuss any aspect of our
operations. |
